A great woman (in a man's eyes) is the one that has a way to show her unconditional support and let him be right because he's her leader and protector yet without whose advice and support he will feel like losing his limbs. He totally thrives -and depends on- her love, admiration and support like a baby needs its mother's milk.
She's a source of life itself to him.

Any wonder most men don't live very long after their wives die while women have no problem living alone to their ripe age after their husbands die and never remarry?
I believe this is an ultimate partnership in marriage, in which a man is a head and a woman is his neck. A man is literally dead without her.
My father used to take us to stay in this elder man's villa back home in my country. His wife had just recently died of an illness. And he was in such a painful loss that he blew up every single picture of her on their numerous world trips over the years, framed them and hung them in every room and every inch of the walls. It was so striking that we couldn't help but noticing how odd that was.
We were told that his maid still prepared meals for two during which time he still talked to her as if she was sitting across the table. He was so incurably in love with her that it brought tears to my eyes each time I remembered that and made me tell myself "I want to be that woman."
And I believe my parents have that kind of relationship too. My mom -without doubt- is his rock. His tilth.
Many marriages in the East last a lifetime simply for this very fact. In fact the most successful marriages are arranged marriages, like in India, in which gender roles are pre-determined and sanctioned.
Thus, the way to a man's heart - and claim complete ownership of it - is through total acceptance and understanding of who he is at the very core. That's the greatest love a woman can give a man and when he has that, a woman will get all the love she needs from him...effortlessly.
"Equality" in marriage doesn't work because it denies men's basic need to feel respected and it's contrary to the way he perceives respect.
A wise woman would let her man claim that leader status and work through his primal emotional fulfillment to get her own emotional needs fulfilled -and eventually get her ways, each and every time. He will literally eat out of her hand. This is the thing that the Windsor's women have that grant them the status of Queen in their royal men's heart (the Queen's mother, Wallis Simpson, Camilla Parker Bowles and Kate Middleton). Any woman can do this and you don't need to be super beautiful for that -in fact looks got nothing to do with it other than it gets you in the door.
