The question of how to get rid of a zit is a question that has haunted the minds of many acne sufferers through out history. When there is a hormonal imbalance in the body, your body's response is to automatically secrete excessive amounts of oils which get into your pores and clog them, forming acne.

You can also use standard methods of treating when they do occur because even when you eat right and do everything right and take care of your skin, the fact is sometimes acne will still appear on your skin despite your better efforts. Topical treatments are still the standard method among most acne sufferers, that is products like creams, ointments, facial scrubs and masks, lotions, and moisturizers are great ways to beat acne and still avoid the nasty side-effects that come with other methods of treatment such as laser therapy or even surgery.
